Korenix Continues Developing the High Quality Industrial Grade Communication Networking Products

Korenix technology, founded in 2004, has continued the pursuit of developing high quality Industrial Grade Communication Networking Products as our top mission. To achieve the high quality, we have put our quality management system in all departments deployment, from ISO 9001 certificate, WEEE/ RoHS compliance, Network redundancy, Life Vibration/ Life Shock test, HiPOT test, to Real-time Ethernet Solution test.

The ISO 9001:2000 Certified Company

Korenix is the ISO 9001:2000 certified company in design and manufacture management of industrial communication networking products. ISO 9001 is the only globally accepted, all-purpose model for quality management in the world. ISO offers a set of guidelines for quality management and can stand alone. It also requires quality management of every process in an organization, e.g. R&D, Product management, Sales, Manufacturing & Logist IC departments, that impacts quality. Korenix has a robust quality management program to meet the requirements of ISO-9001:2000 regulation.

Life Vibration & Life Shock Tests

The public transport systems, such as buses, trains, Mass Rapid Transit carriages or cruise vessels, usually undergo heavy duty operations in industrial networking applications. The heavy anti-vibration/shock life test and wide operating temperature are among the top criterions for industrial networking product requirements. To ensure the networking devices operate in harsh environment reliably, Korenix JetNet 2005/5010G/3010G/4508 and JetCon 1301 series have conducted the following life vibration and life shock tests successfully while units are in full operation.

- IEC 61000-2-6 life vibration
5~100Hz/Amplitude 1mm, 0.7G/90Min.
X.Y.Z. 6 axis
3~50Hz/Amplitude 3.5mm, 1.0G/90Min.
X.Y.Z. 6 axis
- IEC 61000-2-27 life shock
50G, 11ms duration, X,Y, Z, 3 shock/axes
( Total 18 shocks )

HiPOT Test

The JetNet 5010G/3010G/4508 series provide High 1200 VAC (JetNet 2005/JetCon 1301 High 1500VAC) Port to Port Isolation Protection (Ethernet to power, Ethernet to chassis, Ethernet port to port) to protect the operator from electrical shock. HiPOT is an abbreviation for high potential. A HiPOT test (also called a Dielectric Withstand test) verifies that the insulation of a product or component (also referred to as the dielectric) is capable to protect the operator from electrical shock.

Wide-Ranged Operating Temperature

JetNet 5010G has an operating temperature from -20 ~ 70oC which can be installed in harshest industrial environments.

Korenix REAL Tests

Korenix believes that the theories may not always apply to reality, and the advertised claims are only myths unless we actually test them in real world. With that said, Korenix team has set up "hazardous environment" where JetNet 5010G may be installed to test its reliability and performance.

Case I

For heavy duty network redundancy as well as operation under hazardous environment, Korenix team has placed 32 units of JetNet 5010G in a chamber with -20 ~ 70°C and 0 ~ 95% humidity to form 4 interoperating Rapid Super Rings. With Dual Homing II, JetNet 5010G are linked to two layer-3 Cisco Switch 2950s which are located outside the chamber. Two tools are used in our test, P-ping and Ixia. When man-made broken link occurred in any of the four Ring loops and a man-made broken link path occurred in one of the Cisco Switch 2950, it still generates 50% unicast traffic and 5K MAC-address to the ring. We have done the test for three cycles (72 hours), the JetNet 5010G have continued to perform at their best performance inside the chamber, regardless the temperature of the chamber is at -20 ~ 70°C and the humidity is at 0 ~ 95%.

Case II

Korenix REAL Test---250 Units of JetNet 5010G and the Rebooting Time
Korenix has also successfully conducted a 250-unit of JetNet 5010G test with seven loops of Rapid Super Ring and Dual Homing II with Cisco Switch 3650. In addition to previous REAL test, this REAL test will also find out the rebooting time of 250 JetNet 5010G. When man-made broken link occurred in any of the seven Ring loops and a man-made broken link path occurred in one of the Cisco Switch 3650, it still generates 50% unicast traffic and 5K MAC-address to the ring. This is a milestone for Korenix Technology that an enormous quantity of linked switches will not affect the network performance and reliability. More importantly, when we conduct the tests to measure the time needed to reboot 250 units of JetNet 5010G, we also have achieved a low average of 60 second after numerous attempts. A 60-second rebooting time for 250 linked switches is a revolutionary achievement that is beyond our competitors' dreams.

The Real Time Ethernet Solution- EtherCAT Test

EtherCAT

JetCon 1301, an Industrial 10/100Base-TX to 100Base-FX Multi -Mode (JetCon1301-m)/Single-Mode (JetCon1301-s) fiber converter, has been passed the system test of an open Real-Time Ethernet solution, EtherCAT.
Cooperated with the testing laboratory of Backhoff, Korenix sets a successful milestone to enable Real Time Ethernet-EtherCAT, the fastest "industrial Ethernet control in the world", over fiber optics.
For communication tasks, not only the defined latency (cycle time) is important, but the jitter (the variation in response time) also has to be minimal. During the system test, there is no noticeable Jitter between two JetCon 1301 converters connected via fiber end whereas EtherCAT devices attached to the other Ethernet end. The system has been setup and tested to meet all requirements of EtherCAT protocol. For standard Ethernet jitter, specifications of only 100 µs to 3 ms are possible.
