What if I don't have DC 48V power supply? Can I use DC 24V instead?
The JetNet 4706 and JetNet 376 also support DC 24V PoE system which is not compatible with IEEE 802.3af standard, but some environments only equipped DC 24V and need powering device through Ethernet cable. To apply a DC 24V PoE system need notice the turn-on voltage of PD. In usually, IEEE 802.3af PD would not support DC 24V PoE system, due the turn-on voltage is higher than received. In 802.3af standard table 33-12 PD power limits have indicated the turn-on voltage is DC 42V and under 30V will turn-off.

To applied with the DC 24V PoE system, please confirm with the PD manufacture for the PD turn-on voltage. The turn-on voltage should be DC 18V or less, otherwise the PD will not be turn-on.
