Design Concept of JetCard
JetCard Series Universal PCI Multiport Serial Card is the ideal solution for any application that requires high speed RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 interfaces. JetCard uses the high performance Oxford OX16C954 chip. It is a 4-port Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter which offers data rates up to 921.6 Kbps, 128-byte FIFO, and is fully compatible with widely used industry-standard 16C550 devices. JetCard also improves software and hardware flow control to speed up the data throughput. The RS-422/485 isolated version of JetCard provides 2 KV optical isolation protection for each port to protect connected hosts and cards from damage caused by any ground voltage difference or noise-coupling from connected cables. JetCard also bundles with self-diagnostic utility that provides a card self-functional test, error analysis and a COM-port auto-mapping tool.
