Enriched Interface

Korenix portfolio consists of wide range of switches and platforms designed with multiple interfaces – any solution to satisfy your application demands.

  • From 4 to 24 100TX/FX ports provide connectivity in networks with high and low port density requirements, ensuring broadband fast Ethernet connections through copper, or long-distance connections through optical fiber cables.

  • With exclusive 2,3 or 4 Gigabit capacity Korenix solutions fit in applications with flexible high-speed train backbone or switch-to-switch network connection.

  • USB, DIO and Serial ports allow data storage, remote management of signal and device control systems.

  • PoE & High Power PoE power up standard and High-End IP cameras in optimized, energy-efficient manner.

  • JetNet series with booster PoEPioneer 12~24V Vehicle PoE capability ensures cost-efficient and easy IP camera feeding inside carriages.

Korenix designs PoE switches and computing platforms with its patented 12~24V to 48V vehicle PoE Boost technology. This allows devices to be used in vehicles which do not have the 48V standard power input on board. Thus, it decreases cost and time for installing additional intermediate power adapter, and makes the deployment of standard IEEE 802.3af PoE IP cameras feasible on-board subway and railway carriages.

Robustness

The best hardware parameters are combined in Korenix devices to meet and exceed the harsh climatic requirements of on-board vehicle and railway trackside deployments:

  • Solid RJ45/M12 Connectors -With solid M12 D-coded and rugged RJ45 connectors Korenix switches can resist vibration / shock to reliably transmit data.

  • Fanless Design – Korenix switches are designed without a fan inside, which decreases the risk of any dust accumulation inside the devices which might cause system failure.

  • Isolated Booster for surge and lightning resistance - DC Booster of Korenix managed PoE switches is designed with Hi-pot isolation to protect the device from lighting and surge and thus, allow the switch efficiently power outdoor PD equipment under severe conditions.

  • Wide operating temperature range - To operate reliably on-board and off-board transit systems, Korenix provides solutions with -25~70oC standard and up to -40~85oC wide operating temperature ranges.

  • Redundant Power Supply - Korenix switches and computers offer dual power inputs, which can be connected to separate power sources or to a UPS system as extended power source.

JetBox 9560 series with Mobile Extension slots
Mobility

To make IP surveillance or peripheral supervision simple in railways, Korenix designs its JetBox 9560 series booster PoE computers with mobile expansion slots aiming to extend network communication via GSM / GPRS / 3G / 3.5G / HSUPA, and thus enhance the mobility of the devices in PoE applications. Therefore, in transit system where wired transmission is not an option, the extension capability of JetBox allows sending wireless data to control center via mobile network card slots, the miniPCIe & SIM slots.

Reliability

MSTP / RSTP Redundancy
To be compatible with 3rd party devices or to fit in applications with already existing network infrastructures, Korenix also provides MSTP/RSTP in its switches to ensure redundancy in the system for high quality non-stop data transmission.

Korenix Patented MSR network redundancy ring
Multiple Super Ring (MSR) Network Redundancy with <5ms recovery time

To build a reliable network with non-stop data transmission inside transit systems and to backbone networks Korenix provides its own patented MSR ring redundancy technology with seamless restoration (0ms) and 5ms recovery time. The MSR enables switches to form multiple rings together with gigabit or Fast Ethernet connection. As a result, it becomes possible to transfer data in a reliable manner without loss or collision.

Management and Security

Remote Computing and Control

Korenix provides its programmable platforms, which accumulate various networking interfaces, including PoE and Vehicle PoE ports, routing and Linux computing functions for multifunctional operation inside railcars or train stations:

JetOS, Korenix Embedded Linux
The Korenix built-in Linux OS is available in the computer to allow user-friendly programming and remote control of the network infrastructure. With its rich interface JetBox connects to various remote equipment in the railcar or the station, while the Linux programming enables system developers to input and use value-added software such as Webmin, JamVM, Modbus Gateway into the platform. As a result the JetBox can operate as various gateways to control devices in remote locations while simultaneously using PoE to capture the device images.

Using the Linux operating system and performing only few commands, users can modify the configure file and use Korenix Linux auto-run function to execute it easily, increasing system mobility.
