New MSTP & Private VLAN/QinQ in JetNet 6710G enhance security
and reliability of High-Power Critical Video Surveillance
!

Taipei, Taiwan, April 26th, 2012

Korenix is pleased to announce its JetNet 6710G-RJ / M12 High Power Managed PoE switches now support MSTP network redundancy and Private VLAN/QinQ enhanced security features for providing highest network reliability and secure connection for critical high-end surveillance applications.

JetNet 6710G series PoE+ switches support MSTP, Private VLAN and QinQ

The new MSTP technology, in addition to the already supported Korenix patented MSR redundancy ring, is provided in the JetNet 6710G switches to allow users build redundant networks with high reliability and scalability, while ensuring their broader use as they become compatible with 3rd party rackmount switches installed in control rooms.

Furthermore, the newly supported Private VLAN and QinQ features in the switches resolve the VLAN shortage problem and offer easier network VLAN assignment. This also enables administrators to improve communication security in industrial applications.

The JetNet 6710G series are revolutionary High-power PoE plus switches designed with RJ45 (JetNet 6710G-RJ) and M12 (JetNet 6710G-M12) connectors and highly ruggedized hardware parameters that are compliant with the EN50121-4 Railway EMC  and IEC16373 Vibration/shock requirements. The switches provide 8 PoE ports that can deliver up to 15.4W and 30W power per port to drive the high-end PDs, such as the 802.11 wireless APs, PTZ cameras, network dome cameras…., as well as 2 Gigabit ports for uplinking the megapixel video images.

In addition, with the extremely fast (5ms) recovery time of its MSR redundancy protocol, the switches provide reliable and non-stop data transmission, whereas with the featured LLDP and JetView Pro intelligent network management system JetNet 6710G series allow users to easily and efficiently maintain networks while guaranteeing the high quality and security of the transmitted data via advanced management protocols, such as QoS, IGMP snooping, VLAN, DHCP option 82 etc.

By combining all of the new features into their outstanding software parameters with ruggedized enclosure, solid RJ45 and M12 connectors, as well as -40~60oC wide operating temperature range, the switches ensure reliable and stable video surveillance under harsh environments of railways, public utilities, traffic control systems, etc.
