Korenix releases highly anticipated MSTP network redundancy and Private VLAN/QinQ enhanced security features in new firmware of its JetNet 5728G series IEEE 802.3at High Power PoE switches, aiming to provide exceptionally high network performance and more security for critical high-end surveillance applications.
For advanced reliable networking possibilities, in addition to the Korenix patented MSR, the JetNet 5728G series managed PoE+ switches are designed with MSTP, therefore allowing users to provide network redundancy with commercial and industrial-grade switches which do not support the MSR ring. As a result, with the new MSTP the switches offer broader usage in terms of redundant network construction, while becoming compatible with various 3rd party devices.
Other than this, the new firmware also provides Private VLAN and QinQ features which offer an easier network VLAN assignment, resolving VLAN shortage problem and providing higher security in industrial applications.
Korenix launches the new firmware in 3 models of JetNet 5728G series:
The JetNet 5728G series are pioneer high-port density rackmount managed switches providing High Power PoE ports for highly critical PoE surveillance applications. You can choose switches with 8, 16 and 24 PoE ports based on your connection numbers. Each PoE port provides 30W power by the latest 802.3at High Power PoE standard generating over 500W total power budget (JetNet 5728G-24P). The switches also outstand in the market through their supported 4 powering modes (IEEE 802.3af mode, IEEE 802.3at 2-event mode, IEEE 802.3at LLDP classification mode and forced powering mode) becoming a flexible solution to be used to deliver power for different PoE-enabled devices.
For uplink connection to the backbone network, the switches, which provide up to 24 Fast Ethernet ports, also provide 4 Gigabit combo ports that can extend the uplink connection to your preferred distance through SFP transceivers. The MSR redundancy technology further allows forming redundant rings with less than 10ms recovery time, as a result ensuring real time video transmission without image loss.
To flexibly deploy switches in different voltage PoE applications, the JetNet 5728G series provide dual 48VDC power inputs for system reliability as well as extra 90~264VAC or 127~370VDC power supply for high voltage installations.
The firmware of the switches combines advanced Layer 2 management features, such as LLDP and patented JetView Pro i2NMS for automatically discovering and drawing topologies of over 1000 devices, as well as IGMP snooping, DHCP, VLAN, QoS, LACP, etc. for securing data transmission and enhancing its performance.
Last but not least, the JetNet 5728G series are designed in IP31 grade enclosure without fan, enabling users to implement the switches in applications with severe environmental conditions and -25~65oC operating temperature, becoming revolutionary solutions for high performance surveillance applications in large scale network, such as for airport surveillance, highway monitoring, surveillance in public utilities, etc…
