Korenix upgrades its series of serial-Ethernet solutions by introducing Comtrol's Industrial Device Server, DeviceMaster RTS 1-port VDC DB9, which is a single-port device server designed for network-enabling serial communication in extreme applications.

Certified with NEMA TS2, DeviceMaster RTS 1-port can withstand from -37° to 74°C wide operating temperature to connect RS-232/422/485 serial front-end devices to the network without any failure. It supports Windows native COM or Linux TTY which is highly compatible to the latest PC platform for a broader usage.
Additionally, featuring enhanced security that offers SSL & SSH management and data encryption, DeviceMaster RTS can be accessed safely, while protecting critical data completed transmission from hackers’ attacks. Ideal solution for ITS with NEMA TS2 certification
In order to resist harsh roadside environment for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), DeviceMaster RTS 1-port meets all requirements of NEMA TS2 standard, such as extreme temperature, operating voltage and humidity fluctuations, vibration and shock. Reaching wider operating temperature (-37~ 74°C) allows it to be installed in virtually any industrial location for providing reliable serial-Ethernet communication.
Limitless Windows/ Linux platform compatibility
Regardless of the Windows or Linux operating system running on your PC’s platform, DeviceMaster NS-Link driver is supportable. The uploaded NS-Link firmware on DeviceMaster RTS enables placement of native COM port on Windows XP/Server 2008/Vista/7 as well as TTY port on Linux kernel 2.6.18 through 2.6.34 to widely extend serial connectivity and compatibility.

DeviceMaster RTS provides a whole package of Software Developer Kit (SDK) for users interested in developing customized program to be embedded on the DeviceMaster platform. Equipped with source sample code and toolchain in eCos developing environment, users can easily customize DeviceMaster usability to satisfy their different control needs such as data protocol conversion, data tagging and routing, store-and-forward buffering…etc.
