Korenix JetCard 2215 12~24V Booster PoE Switch Universal PCI card has been recently used as an embedded video server in a retail store for providing a whole new level of pro-active in-store surveillance/ monitoring through reliable and real-time video traffic transmission. Theft and vandalism in retail industry is rising day by day. JetCard 2215 appeared to be the unique ideal embedded solution for the System Integrating Company to overcome all these difficulties and to provide optimized network video monitoring with reduced costs.
Designed with a Universal PCI slot, the 5 RJ45 port PoE switch card can be installed in a general PC. The PC with 12~24V power input enables the PoE function of the JetCard 2215, which in its turn, transfers it to 48V by the booster technology to deliver 15.4W power per port to the IP cameras in the retail store. In the meantime, using its 4 PoE ports, the card collects the data from the IP cameras into the whole embedded video system. As a result, the device functions as an Ethernet switch and powering switch, while reducing the number of necessary devices and maintenance costs of the total IP surveillance networking solution.
In addition, to ensure the reliable data transmission with zero packet loss under temporary traffic congestion, JetCard supports back pressure and pause frame-based flow control scheme. Equipped with easy-to-install drivers, the 12-24V booster PoE switch can be smartly integrated in an IPC to work as a complete video recording system. Therefore, it is also suitable to apply in many other industrial applications, such as transportation, banking, city surveillance…etc.
Implementing the JetCard 2215, administrators are able to enhance their in-store surveillance by a centralized remote surveillance, reducing theft, on-site controls and their related costs.
