Recently undergoing in Thailand are the furious protests arising from the political crisis. Hence the city security has inevitably become a serious issue worth paying attention to. In 2008 the similar story occurred. To ensure the public security, the city authorities took action to install up to 3,000 IP Cameras in southern Thailand to protect the citizens from violent attacks. Besides the IP cameras installed for instant monitoring, 20 JetNet 4010, the Industrial 10-port Web-managed Fast Ethernet Switch, were connected around every 30 IP cameras into a single Ring in which any link failure would recover in 5ms! All the video images were transmitted back to the central monitoring center via JetNet 5228G, 24+4G Rackmount Managed Ethernet Switch.
