JetBox 8100 - Industrial Communication Computer
JetBox 8100 is an AMD Geode LX800 500MHz based embedded computer, system memory 256MB SDRAM default (512MB optional) and carries all major interfaces such as two USB2.0 ports, one RS-232 ports, one RS-232/422/485 ports, VGA, Audio and PS2(KB/mouse). In addition, it is equipped with one RJ-45 ports and supports daemons and web server services to accommodate to the network communication environment today.

When devices are used in a work field, dimension of devices is often limited by the space. JetBox 8100 is designed to apply in restricted control boxes by its tiny volume and DIN-rail mounting. Volume and performance of JetBox 8100 is utilized as a perfect front-end device.

What is Windows XP Embedded? |
Windows XP Embedded with Service Pack 2 (SP2) is the operating system and development platform delivering the power of the Windows operating system in componentized form to rapidly build reliable and advanced embedded devices.
Microsoft® Windows® XP Embedded helps bring the stability, security, and the rich feature set of Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional to embedded devices. Windows-based applications can run on Windows XP Embedded, however, there are differences between Windows XP Embedded and Windows XP Professional.
Windows XP Embedded provides solutions to support embedded scenarios, including point-of-sale devices, Windows-based terminals, and kiosks. It's easy to build fixed-function devices, and to reduce the footprint of a target run-time image. You can use Windows XP Embedded to build a run-time image that includes only the Windows components that your device requires. As long as you include the required dependencies in your run-time image, you can maintain the application compatibility that you need to run your applications.
Componentization also makes it easier to reduce security risks by designing run-time operating systems with limited surface area. The smaller the footprint of your run-time image the smaller the surface area of the operating system. Less surface area means less risk of intrusion. For example, if you do not require networking capabilities, you can exclude networking components from your run-time image.

Globally, many countries have been concerned about the safety of nuclear power plants and the air pollution coming along which caused by using coal as the power source. For the environmental and economic considerations, it provides the energy demands of households and business. The safety of natural gas transportation is still a major concern, although it is transported via underground pipelines. As a result, to build a control system which is able to monitor the conditions of distributive supporting equipments and gas pipeline systems is a critical issue for companies that supply natural gas.
A gas distribution company which secures the transit transmission of natural gas across the territory of the CR and delivers it to regional gas distribution companies used JetNet 5010G in controlled gas delivery and regulation stations. Each station works automatically and it is on-line monitored from the central control room and several measured dates are stored in status server. Thus, the JetNet 5010G is used in each station and it connects PLC, gas quality analyzer and several flow meters with Ethernet GPRS Router. The measurement units communicate via RS232 or RS422 so JetPort 5601 or JetPort 5604 is used.
